Today is the 95th anniversary since the signing of the Bucharest Treaty when Macedonia was split in three parts. The TMRO party with a message that no Macedonian should forget this date, as the most tragic date in Macedonian History. Vanco Sehtanski of TMRO had sent a request back in September 2002 to all signatories of the Bucharest treaty for a revision of the treaty, however is not sure why official Macedonian politics is not behind TMRO's request.

"The Bucharest Treaty is valid for 99 yeas, its annex documentation is being kept in Paris. This is why the Franco - Greek alliance is extremely nervous. TMRO as a Macedonian National Party calls on all Macedonians and the Government to present the Macedonian question in front of all relevant international organizations. The Albanian question is nearly resolved, next is the Macedonian question which surely will start with the revision of the Bucharest Treaty", says TMRO's president Vanco Sehtanski.
TMRO salutes the openig of discussions for the Aegean Macedonians by the Government, however, Sehtanski added "this shouldn't be looked at since 1948, rather from 1913 when Greece ethnically cleansed the Macedonian cities expelling 750,000 Macedonians to present Bulgaria.
"The Balkan is looking at a new Marshall Plan with new borders along ethnic lines, and the Macedonian question in that context will find its place, with the help of the US," says TMRO's president.
