Antipater was born in Palikura, the Republic of Macedonia!
The birthplace of
Antipater was known as Palioura in Uper Macedonia and until now its location was regarded as uncertain. However, the toponym Palioura was preserved almost unchanged as
Palikura, a village near the ancient city of Stobi in the Republic of Macedonia.
Palikura is according to my statement identical to Palioura, were
Antipater was born in 399. Archaeological excavation of Stobi showed also that
Palikura was an important place were a basilica in the 4th century was build on an old palace of some rich man.

Macedonian nobleman named Iolaus. He served as a soldier and diplomat under the kings Perdiccas III (365-360) and
Philip II (360-336). After the assassination of Philip II,
Antipater arranged Alexander to succeeded his father as the king of Macedonia. When Alexander went on his Asian campaign, Antipater was left as regent (334–323 BC) in Macedonia. After the death of Alexander he defended Macedonia against the hostile Hellenes in the Lamian War and he was who held the kingdom together until his death. Antipater had at least ten attested childrens, four doughters and six sons. Cassander, a son of Antipater married Thesallonice, a dother of Philip II, and become a King of Macedonia, thus establishing a royal dinasty with roots from Paliura, the Republic od Macedonia.
